Kirby Muxloe Primary School – LED Lighting Project

Kirby Muxloe Primary School is located in the heart of Kirby Muxloe village. We were contacted to recommend and implement a  cost effective energy saving LED lighting solution across all buildings internally and externally. Our LED luminaires with low glare lighting uniformity (which must be considered when lighting educational environments) were selected across multiple rooms across the school that are multifunctional learning environments. To provide enhanced functionality and further energy efficiencies we also commissioned a SMART/Intelligent LED Lighting solution in the Main Hall which can be controlled wirelessly. This provided dimming and occupancy capabilities which can be programmed to suit various uses.

Our consulting approach to the project enabled the School to benefit from significantly improved lighting levels and the sustainable advantages of LED lighting and energy efficiency compared to traditional lighting. The end result was welcomed across the board whilst we demonstrated our ability to provide a cost effective, durable, and sustainable LED lighting upgrade to meet the demands of this and any educational environment.

The LED lighting luminaires supplied and installed provided a 7-year maintenance free LED lighting solution to support the schools’ low carbon and energy efficiency goals, and was a clear demonstration of how the school is taking their social, economic, and environmental responsibilities seriously.
